If the words beer and “sampling” are music to your ears, you’ll love the 14th Annual Maine Lakes Brew Fest, Saturday, September 30th at Point Sebago in Casco. From 11am – 4pm This 21-plus event features live music, over 35 brewers and 15 vendors to satisfy your appetite. Your ticket includes a Souvenir Sampling Glass.
The event originated in Casco Village with a handful of local brewers and drew a crowd of around 300. It has now grown to be the premier beer festival in the area, with attendance last year of over 3,100.
The brewers will be offering almost 100 varieties of beer and wine for customers to sample. There will also be two live bands, and local favorite, Chad Porter will be a guest entertainer in the Pavillion from 1-3pm.
The food vendors will offer everything from hot dogs, burgers, hot wings, chili, wood-fired pizza, sausage and pulled pork sandwiches, oysters, and Maine lobster rolls. The entire event is held under tents and on the beach at Sebago Lake, and, regardless of the weather, the sampling goes on. “Rain or shine, we’ve got you covered!”
An Artisan’s Craft Show rounds out the day.
Point Sebago is easily accessible off of Route 302, and offers parking for $5 per car.
